Apply a small amount of the product at night to the hyperpigmentation spots or use it all over the face. Avoid the eye area. The combination of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and a high concentration of depigmenting ingredients (20% active ingredients) gently exfoliates the skin and regulates melanin production, which is responsible for hyperpigmentation spots. Kojic acid, because it inhibits melanin production, is an effective, dermatologically tested treatment for melasma (e.g., post-pregnancy spots). White mulberry extract, a type of fruit, limits melanin production by inhibiting the action of tyrosinase. It also has antioxidant properties. Glycolic acid increases the exfoliation process and promotes cell renewal. Salicylic acid generates a keratolytic action that reduces intercellular cohesion and destroys the lipids that bind the outer cells of the epidermis.
