- Clean and dry the skin before use, ensuring the area Make sure the blister is free of any creams or oils. Remove the backing paper, being careful not to touch the adhesive side. Apply the dressing firmly over the blister, making sure the edges are smooth. Keep it in place until it starts to peel off (Note: it may stay in place for several days). To remove the dressing: do not pull upwards. Slowly stretch it along the skin.
