Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner is an exfoliant that significantly smooths skin texture. Regular use promotes a more even complexion and more radiant skin. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This water-based toner is suitable for daily use.
It contains glycolic acid (a well-studied alpha hydroxy acid) at a concentration of 7%, as well as a plant derivative of the Tasmanian berry, the color of which varies seasonally, which may cause the formula's color to change from time to time.
This formula should not be used on sensitive, fragile, or flaky skin. See the sun protection note and other warnings in the directions for use.
The pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic acid has a pKa of 3.6. The pKa is the most important aspect to consider in acid-based formulas, as it describes the acidity of a molecule. When the pKa is similar to the pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximizing the acid's effectiveness and reducing irritation. Concern: Skin Type: Caution: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which may increase skin sensitivity to the sun and, in particular, the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week afterward. We do not recommend combining this product in the same routine with direct or ethylated vitamin C (LAA/ELAA), direct acids, or retinoids. Peptides and EUK 134 0.1%. Use preferably at night. No more than once a day. After cleansing, soak a cotton pad in the formula and sweep over the face and neck. Avoid the eye area and contact with the eyes. Do not rinse. Continue with additional skin treatments as needed. If persistent irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
