- Use after cleansing and conditioning your hair. (Do not dry, even with a towel, after your final rinse.) Apply As I Am® Leave-in liberally without rinsing, according to the instructions; this will help prevent flaking once your hair is dry. Apply Curling Jelly to detangled hair while it is still wet, in small sections, from root to tip. Spritz with water if your hair starts to dry before you finish. To define your waves or curls, you can run your fingers through, comb with a wide-tooth comb (tiles), or use your fingers. Air drying is recommended. You can use a diffuser on a low setting if time or weather is an issue. Separate or arrange your waves for styling only after your hair is completely dry. For added moisture, apply Moisture Milk or DoubleButter® Cream to your hair. Learning to use gel products like As I Am® Curling Jelly, specifically formulated to define curly and very curly hair, can be quite difficult at first. My advice is not to give up!
